Jonathan Hill
Jonathan Hill is an award-winning cartoonist, author, and illustrator from Portland, OR. Dave Pilkey (Dog Man) has said of his work ‘Hill’s storytelling and artwork bring to mind the brilliance of writer/cartoonists like Jeff Smith and Kazu Kibuishi.’ His book Odessa won the Believer Book Award for Graphic Literature in 2021 and was a finalist for the 2022 PNBA Book Award. His book Tales of a Seventh-Grade Lizard Boy was a 2022 Oregon Spirit Award Honor Book, a Junior Library Guild Gold Standard Selection, and was one of the ALA's Best Graphic Novels for 2022. His comics and illustrations have also appeared in work for Microsoft, the Portland Trailblazers, Tor.com, The Believer Magazine, Literary Arts, and Powell's City of Books. Jonathan also serves as vice-chair of the board of directors for Literary Arts, the largest literary non-profit on the west coast.
