Shelley Couvillion

Shelley Couvillion grew up in California and spent most of her childhood drawing, reading, and telling people she "didn't go to school" (typical homeschooler). She loves making any kind of art that doesn't involve screens, and puts this to good use painting mostly pumpkins and ghosts. Her coloring book The Spooky Academy came out in 2025 with Hachette UK and she illustrated the cover of The Wrong Way Home, a Newbery Honor book. Shelley now lives in Tennessee where you can find her searching for cryptids, digging for old bottles in the Duck River, or reading with her husband and kiddo.
